The Program
The Delta Economic Education Resource Service (DEERS) Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic (LITC) provides free tax controversy advice, representation, andassistance to the low income taxpayers and individuals who speak English as a second language (ESL) in the tri-state Delta area of eastern Arkansas, northen Mississippi and western Tennessee.
The program is designed to help low-income taxpayers resolve federal tax controversies under $50,000 per year. Although this project does not assist in tax preparation for the current tax year, the program can assist in a variety of other areas.

This program is made possible by a Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic grant provided by the United States Internal Revenue Service and by grants from other local organizations.
Support is also provided by the many dedicated tax professionals who provide hours of free services to the Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic.
